Intercon Furniture

Tom and Linda Turpin began selling barstools from the back of their pick-up truck in 1976. This story was the start of  Intercon, and forty years later, it is still a family-owned and controlled company. What used to be a two-person barstool business has grown to become an industry leader in developing, distributing, and constructing wood dining, bedroom, and home entertainment furniture.

Intercon is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a corporate headquarters and a 180,000-square-foot central warehouse. Three other domestic warehouses in Salt Lake City, Salisbury, North Carolina, and Lakewood, Washington, serve their retailers.

In addition, they have two offshore warehouses in Vietnam and Malaysia. Working with only proven, high-integrity subcontractor manufacturers has enabled them to provide the greatest value in the business. Because of their tight, long-term connections with manufacturers and distributors globally, they are equipped to develop tailored solutions that suit both customers and merchants.

Their design and warehousing expertise enables them to be a major supplier of furnishings in the United States and Canada. They operate dedicated showrooms in High Point, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada, providing merchants with different styles four times a year. It is their objective to provide superior quality products with long-term value to their clients.

They develop and handcraft their furniture and household décor lines in various designs, sizes, and treatments, allowing customers to create a distinctive place to their home and lifestyle. And to demonstrate the strength of their merchandise, they produced a video of a 4,000-pound elephant standing on one of their traditional oak chairs. That is quite impressive.

Their unique patterns, paired with their elegance and sophistication, inspire your home, connecting artists and designers to people and locations all over the world. They are committed to offering high-quality furniture for every occasion and contributing to creating a dream house for everyone.

One of their classics is the Alta Bedroom Collection, made of solid brushed ash and comes in a lovely harvest finish. This collection's case components include English dovetail joinery and classic brushed metal hardware. Sold in both king and queen sizes, it also has two spacious drawers, a storage footboard, and full extension drawer glides.
